Irish canine lovers are expressing their concern relating to the launch of puppy yoga lessons in Dublin.

The Puppies & Yoga (P&Y) lessons – which have rocketed in reputation in cities like Paris, Milan and Amsterdam – at the moment are available in Dublin City Centre for the primary time.

Each class is 60 minutes, with the primary half-hour devoted to the apply of yoga with a licensed teacher, and the final half-hour for taking part in and cuddling with the puppies.

During class, the puppies play freely round all the scholars.

According to P&Y, breeders are rigorously chosen, with all puppies vaccinated and weaned earlier than taking part in periods.

However, some involved canine lovers are towards the apply due to a perception the dogs are too young and their growth could also be inhibited. They even have issues concerning the origin of the puppies and what’s going to occur to them once they age.

Additionally, some social media customers have pointed to Ireland’s present canine rehoming disaster, with shelters throughout the nation stuffed with undesirable dogs.

One Facebook commenter mentioned, “It’s an absolute shame. Should be banned.”

Another mentioned, “This is extremely egocentric and irresponsible.”

Another Facebook person commented, “This is the very last thing [that] wanted to be opening in present local weather! There is a canine rehoming disaster at [the] second, shelters/kilos/rescues rammed, breeders unable [to] rehome puppies so giving them to rescues!

“Puppies being dumped all over the place [sic]! This is past ridiculous, young puppies will probably be opening themselves as much as sickness after which if vaccinated they are going to be too old to search out properties! Breeders can’t discover properties for fluffy 10 week old puppies not to mention something older! It’s simply so improper… very cute however very improper when you consider it.”

Husky Rescue Ireland launched the next assertion concerning the lessons:

Puppies & Yoga has been contacted for remark.
