Several Army servicemembers have been reunited with their puppies that they rescued whereas stationed abroad in Eastern Europe.
“I am unable to consider she is right here,” says Jared Bertagnolli, of the United States Army.
Thursday’s reunion took place on the Paws of War headquarters in Nesconset, Suffolk County.
“She was my companion on the bottom. She stored my thoughts occupied whereas I used to be there,” explains Army servicemen Troy Koenig.
Paws of War is working to get 18 extra deserted dogs abroad despatched to the United States, in order that they are often adopted by servicemen and ladies.
