Service dog informs owner to fire in Jay

JAY — A service dog signaled a hearing-impaired lady that there was a fire at her house on Macomber Hill Road on Monday early morning, Fire Rescue Chief Mike Booker said Tuesday.

Esther Nolin’s spouse, Joseph, was up the roadway when he was outlined the fire. He reversed and returned and shared a fire extinguisher to the master restroom where the fire stemmed, Booker said.

Joseph Nolin was a huge help putting out the fire, Booker said. There was a little extension into the wall, however it was was quite well tore down when firemens got here, he said.
