Police are examining the event, which saw 2 of the birds assaulted at the Causeway on Good Friday.
One of them — a young adult swan — passed away almost instantly.
The other, thought to be the mom, was discovered in ‘terrific trouble’ on Saturday early morning (8).
Jenny Crates informed the County Press: “After a number of hours Ingwio Vanhaecke had the ability to rescue her, and we took her in to Carisbrooke Vets, who were definitely wonderful.
“They put her on a drip, and discovered a nasty injury on her lower back, which they cleaned up completely and loaded out.
“She appeared at first to be doing truly well, however she didn’t make it through the night, and passed away from the injury and injury.”
The dog included was said to be a labrador, which was release its lead.
Jenny is pleading with dog owners, to keep their family pets on their leads in the location.
