Following analysis of the City of Boise’s park stock and winter usage, the Boise Parks and Entertainment Department’s popular seasonal dog off-leash program is broadening to Simplot Sports Complex beginning Monday, November 21. The program will continue at the 161-acre park in Southeast Boise through February 15, 2023.

Boise’s seasonal off-leash program, which is currently underway at Ann Morrison Park and Optimist Youth Sports Complex, permits all locations of the park, other than for the car park and play ground, to be readily available for off-leash usage from daybreak to sunset.

” Our group continues to try to find opportunities to include dog-friendly parks and locations in communities throughout the City of Boise,” stated Boise Parks and Entertainment Director Doug Holloway. “With sports leagues and occasions unwinding, this is a fun time to make use of Simplot Sports Complex as an extra seasonal dog off-leash park, supplying a big, available location in Southeast Boise for four-legged buddies and their owners to check out.”
