RIVERHEAD, NY — Police are searching from a dog taken from Riverhead today.
According to Riverhead Town authorities, the occurrence happened on Thursday in between 11 a.m. and midday, when somebody in a gray SUV eliminated a dog that did not come from them from the location of North Griffing Ave. near the Pulaski Street School.

The dog is an all-black Shih Tzu with a blue collar that weights about 6 lbs., authorities said. In addition, the dog has a Home Again chip #985112011960571.
