A Scots mum thinks her dead dog was stopped working after it left a caravan park prior to being killed on significant roadway.
Sara Garth, 35, says she needed to return home from a vacation in Ayrshire without “a member of the family,” after her one years of age staffie Bella was discovered dead by the A77 near Maybole.
Sara from Cyldebank took kids Thomas, 13, Grant, 9, and three-year-old Murray to Craig Tara to commemorate Thomas’s birthday.
But their family trip to the Haven park near Ayr developed into a headache when Bella left the caravan and got away the website on Saturday (May 13).
Hours later on she was unfortunately discovered by paramedics around 5am on Sunday (May 14) who covered her up in a blanket and notified the authorities.
But Sara was not informed about her dog’s body being discovered by polices till 4pm that day – almost 12 hours because it was initially reported to the force.
Sara informed Ayrshire Live: “I am definitely sad.
“I went on a vacation for a break and it’s wound up a headache. I’ve come home without a family member.
“I’ve got 3 young boys, Bella was my wee lady. The kids are completely ravaged they’ve not got her any longer.
“She wasn’t even 2, she had an actually huge character and she was a charming wee thing, she would come all over, she was simply constantly by my side.
“I feel like there were just so many mistakes. Bella was just failed by everyone.”
