This is the minute when a female and family pet dog were constantly assaulted by stroking seagulls in her own back garden.
Melanie Potter Hughson from Broxburn, in West Lothian, shared the video of the rowdy birds divebombing at her pooch as it played in her garden.
Melanie says this not the very first time that the gulls have actually assaulted passers-by in the location.
She says a little cat ‘narrowly escaped’ the protective birds, who she thinks are attempting to safeguard their chicks that hatch around this time of year.
In the video, which was shown Edinburgh Live, a seagull can be seen constantly diving down at her dog as it plays in the garden.
On a number of celebrations the gull misses out on the pooch prior to it dives back up into the sky in preparation for another effort.
The lap dog appears to stand its ground and frightens the seagull away each time the bird attempts to pursue it.
Melanie said: “It occurs every year at this time when the chicks hatch and will get gradually even worse for the next month approximately.
“Anybody who strolls past gets dive-bombed by them, particularly if they have a dog with them.
“I experienced a little cat directly get away from it a couple of days back.
“You cannot sit outdoors on that side of the building recently as they continuously swoop at you.”
