Sara Bateman, 50, was subjected to a brutal attack by the hands of her carer and boyfriend, Matthew Hyde, after the pair had an argument at her home in Willenhall, West Midlands. He then fled the scene, leaving the sufferer’s son to find her lifeless physique two days later.

Matthew Hyde, 41, launched a vicious attack on Sara Bateman at her home in Willenhall Road, Willenhall within the West Midlands, on 28 March this 12 months.
Hyde moved in with Ms Bateman shortly after assembly the 50-year-old and have become her paid carer, supporting her along with her incapacity and day-to-day wants.
An argument between the couple led to him killing the “vulnerable” mom, sister and grandmother, police mentioned.
Hyde, of Wellington Place, Willenhall, then fled the scene – leaving Ms Bateman’s son to seek out her physique two days afterward 30 March – in what has been described as an act of “inexcusable cruelty”.
She was found with facial accidents, bruising and a canine lead round her neck.
Hyde was arrested inside hours at a close-by deal with and later charged with Ms Bateman’s homicide.

Detective Inspector Nick Barnes, from West Midlands Police CID, mentioned Hyde had abused the belief of Ms Bateman “in probably the most deplorable manner” by “viciously attacking her in what ought to have been the security of her personal home”.
“Sara must have felt safe in Hyde’s firm. Instead, she fell sufferer to his violence,” he added.
