Responding at 8pm, the volunteer crew of the Dorothy May White towed the vessel again to Maryport Marina (September 12).
The Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team was ready because the lifeboat arrived at 10.30pm.
A spokesperson from Workington RNLI mentioned: “Workington RNLI rescued a sailor and their canine when their yacht’s engine failed.
“The yacht had bought into issue a few mile south east of the Robin Rigg wind farm.
“RNLI volunteers reached the yacht and towed it again to Maryport Marina, the place they had been met by Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team.”
