FARGO — Ruby, the service canine so beloved that her proprietor provided a $10,000 reward to search out her, has died.
Owner Jason Larkin shared the information through a public Facebook publish Sunday afternoon.
“It saddens me to share that Ruby has been found and unfortunately she is in doggie heaven,” he wrote. “It wasn’t the outcome we prayed for but we do have closure.”
People first heard in regards to the lacking service canine in December, after Ruby slipped out of the Larkin’s yard on a Sunday morning.
“She will need to have noticed a rabbit, and we noticed her run again towards the again and that is final we noticed of her,” Larkin informed WDAY’s Kevin Wallevand on the time.
Ruby had been specifically educated to assist Larkin, who was paralyzed in a 2013 accident. She adopted him all over the place and would do something — from open a door to select up a single Kleenex — to assist him,

The seek for Ruby unfold like wildfire on social media, and the Larkins bought big, digital billboards and provided a reward of $10,000 to anybody who may discover the golden-hearted Goldendoodle.
