RSPCA search for Gravesend man seen kicking and slapping a dog

The RSPCA are searching for a man in Gravesend after he was seen to be slapping the dog in the head and face several times and kicking him in the side.

The man was last seen December 27, 2022, at 11am outside the Costcutter on Whitehill Road.

He was last seen wearing dark trousers, a large dark coat with a fur trim around the hood and a white logo on the left arm, orange and black trainers and a black beanie hat.

According to the charity the dog appears to be a large male black or dark brown Labrador or mastiff crossbreed type of dog.

A spokesperson for RSPCA said: “The man was seen at approximately 11am on Tuesday 27 December outside the Costcutter store on Whitehill Road.

“The man was seen holding the dog’s lead, before slapping the dog in the head and face several times and kicking him in the side.

“The man is described as wearing dark trousers, a large dark coat with a fur trim around the hood and a white circular logo on the left arm, along with a black beanie-style hat.

“He was also wearing distinctive black and orange trainers.

“The dog appears to be a large male, black or dark-brown labrador or mastiff crossbreed type.”

RSPCA inspector, Kirsten Ormerod said: “The footage is shocking and I’m keen to speak to the person involved.
