Red Dog, was the name offered to a kelpie cross dog who was popular throughout the northern area of the state of Western Australia.
Born in 1971, he was thought to be born in the mining town of Paraburdoo, and for many years, was offered lots of other names consisting of Bluey, Tally Ho, Pilbara Wanderer, and Dog of the Northwest. He got a track record for his roaming nature throughout the Pilbara Region, offering him renowned status. It is believed that he was understood to a lot of by the name Red Dog, due to the red dirt which covers the majority of the landscape.
Red Dog was later on owned by a bus driver who enabled the canine to accompany him on the bus around the towns of Dampier, Karratha, and the surrounding locations.
