A fast thinking Brockville dive master is being applauded after saving a puppy from the cold St. Lawrence River, who credits her water rescue training for starting to conserve the dog.

Six-month-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Flanker provided his owner Chelsea Marko rather the scare Wednesday night, after concluding playtime in downtown Brockville’s Centeen Park.
