Previous BBC broadcaster, Wendy Austin, states she’s been swamped with assistance after revealing her dog dropped dead on a Donegal beach.
Ms Austin required to social networks to describe her family pet Mollie had actually been on Killahoey Beach swimming when the disaster took place.
Sharing a breeze of Mollie in the water near Dunfanaghy, Ms Austin tweeted: “On an unfortunate individual note, 5 minutes after this pic our gorgeous caring kind and completely remarkable 6 years of age flatcoat Mollie passed away doing a preferred thing swimming on Killahoey beach.
” Thanks to all the kind individuals who assisted her and us in our distress xx She was a really honorable dog.”

In a later post she included that it was “all so stunning” and stated Mollie was a “charming dog”.
The awful news about the dog caused a raft of encouraging messages for the previous Excellent Early morning Ulster speaker and MBE.
Ms Austin was among the best-known faces and voices on BBC Northern Ireland, dealing with Excellent Early morning Ulster, Talkback and Within Company.
In 2012 she was granted the MBE for her contribution to broadcasting.
In 2020 she marked her last day at the BBC and was referred to as among their “most identified, the majority of appreciated coworkers”.
