Following the incident activists and dog lovers came out against the gruesome act and sought strict actions against the accused, suspected to be students of the institute located in Okhla.
Animal rights activist Ambika Shukla slammed the incident. She opined animal abusers of today are the serial killers of tomorrow and demanded strong action against the youth. These boys must be rusticated from college and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The Institution must be severely penalised as not only its students but also its staff are involved, Shukla said.
This incident surfaced just days after another incident from Ghaziabad where three people killed a dog by hanging him in a grotesque manner. Four people were arrested in this incident after the video was shared widely on the internet. In the video, two men were seen hanging a dog with a noose. They were also holding one end of the rope in their hands, which both were pulling towards them with full force so that the dog suffocates.
The incident took place in Elaichipur village under the Tronica City police station area.
