After scaling the greatest mountain in England, a “favorably royal” dog needed to be rescued after declining to come pull back the mountain recently.
Rocky, an Akita, made the journey to the top of Scafell Pike, once the dog made it to the top, Rocky got hurt and ended up being too tired to continue, according to Keswick Mountain Rescue Team news release.
And attempt as they might, Rocky’s owners couldn’t encourage the animal to move.

A callout was made and 13 employee from the Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched to the dog’s help.
Once rescue team members made it to Rocky and the owners, they had the ability to raise the dog onto an opened “cas bag” and positioned Rocky on a stretcher.

Rocky was returned down the mountain, followed carefully by its owners, and teams said the almost 73-pound dog stayed “cool, calm and favorably regal throughout!”
Scafell Pike steps at an imposing 3,209-feet high and is home to the greatest standing water in England called Broad Crag Tarn.
Broad Crag Tarn lies at about 2,700 feet, about a quarter of a mile south of the top, according to the Scafell Pike website.
The base of Scafell Pike is home to England’s inmost lake called Wastewater which determines 3 miles throughout and simply over half a mile broad.
The lake determines a shocking 258 feet deep.
