IRVINE, Calif. (KCAL/KCBS) – Police in California sprang into motion to avoid wasting a puppy they discovered overdosing from a fentanyl publicity.
It occurred Thursday in Irvine, California, after police arrested the puppy’s house owners for possession of fentanyl at a Walmart.
Officials instantly gave the puppy a dose of the life-saving remedy Narcan and rushed it to an emergency veterinarian for therapy.
Veterinary researchers say Narcan will be simply as efficient in dogs as in people.
