POLICE are appealing for information about an incident after a young girl, one, was bitten by a dog in Southend.
It was reported the victim, a girl aged nearly two, was in the Jones Memorial Ground play park at around 4.05pm on November 25, when a dog bit her.
The bite was on her face and drew blood.

Her dad chased the dog across the park but lost sight of it and could not find it, or its owner.
The breed of dog is also not known but it is described as being a small dog.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are appealing for information about an incident where it was reported a young child was injured after being bitten by a dog in Southend.
“It was reported the victim, a girl aged nearly two, was in the Jones Memorial Ground play park at around 4.05pm on 25 November when a dog bit her face and drew blood.
“Her dad chased the dog across the park but lost sight of it and could not find it, or its owner.
“The breed of dog is not known but it is described as being a small dog.
