Norbi, a Belgian Malinois, was stabbed throughout a morning pursuit of a man thought of attempting to get into houses in the upstate New York city of Troy, the city’s cops department said in a declaration. Norbi and his handler were trying to take the suspect into custody in a woody location when the suspect stabbed Norbi with a knife, the department said.
Police informed the Times Union of Albany that the man had actually lunged at the leashed dog and Norbi bit the man on his legs prior to being stabbed.
The suspect was captured by policeman and sent to a regional healthcare facility to be dealt with for a dog bite.
