A police canine pursuing a bunch of offenders alongside a hearth break in Lower Hutt has bitten a schoolboy out working together with his PE class.
Wainuiomata High School has confirmed three Year 10 college students on a run up the Wainuiomata Hill at this time crossed paths with the police canine staff mid-pursuit.
One boy was bitten after he apparently panicked and saved working.

Other college students have instructed RNZ the boy was taken to hospital for therapy however subsequently returned to highschool.
