ARNOLD, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A Pevely man is accused of throwing a 3-month-old puppy from the third ground of a lodge in Arnold, killing the animal.
Jefferson County prosecutors on Friday charged 44-year-old Michael Lance Lott with animal abuse by torture or mutilation whereas the animal is alive, a category E felony. He can be charged with first-degree harassment and second-degree harassment within the incident, which occurred in October.
Arnold Police mentioned in an affidavit supporting prices that Lott and the sufferer bought into an argument round 10 p.m. on Oct. 7 in a room on the third ground of the Woodspring Suites lodge within the 800 block of Arnold Commons Drive.
A witness within the room instructed police Lott took the sleeping pit bull puppy, whose identify was Bitty, from the lap of the sufferer and threw the canine from the window.
