OSSIPEE — An Ossipee man has been arrested after allegedly hitting and killing a Golden Retriever together with his pickup truck, police mentioned.
Chief Donald Babbin of the Ossipee Police Department introduced the arrest of 76-year-old Timothy Lovely on Thursday.
According to the police, officers responded to reviews of a free canine on Moultonville Road close to Ossipee Mountain Road on Feb. 7 at about 12:30 p.m.
Witnesses on the scene claimed an elderly male in a white pickup truck ignored indicators to cease for the canine and struck the animal, leading to its demise.
Corporal William French led the investigation that recognized Lovely as the driving force concerned within the incident.
After gathering ample proof, police discovered possible trigger to arrest Lovely on Feb. 15 round 1 p.m.
He faces costs of Conduct After an Accident, a Misdemeanor A below RSA 264:25, and Report of Injury to Dog or Cat, a Violation below RSA 264:31.
Following his arrest, Lovely was launched on private recognizance bail.
He is scheduled to seem earlier than the Ossipee District Court for arraignment on March 19 at 9 a.m.
