Organizations highlight shelter dogs this Adopt a Shelter Dog Month

It’s a tragic actuality that senior pets are sometimes the final to be adopted. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals,1 senior dogs have a 25% adoption charge in comparison with the 60% adoption charge of younger dogs and puppies.

To handle this widespread subject, this Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, YuMOVE—a joint complement for dogs and the American Kennel Club’s official canine joint complement—has introduced in a press launch2 it has teamed up with the Mr Mo Project—a senior rescue canine nonprofit.

The Mr Mo Project rescues and advocates for senior dogs and special-needs dogs from US shelters and helps them discover loving properties. The organization facilitates transport, sources foster households, and brings consideration to senior dogs in US shelters whereas additionally providing continuous help and protecting veterinary payments for the dogs’ whole lives.2 YuMOVE has donated funds and its joint care dietary supplements to help the Mr Mo Project’s efforts and assist the senior dogs stay energetic.

Quinn’s story

The Mr Mo Project rescued Quinn, a 14-year-old wired hair German Pointer combine, from a hoarding home together with 55 different dogs, when he was only a puppy. “Quinn has a big personality and so much love and energy,” YuMOVE acknowledged within the launch.2

As Quinn grew up, he started affected by mobility points and struggled to maneuver.
