COLEMAN MUNICIPALITY, Ont. — Police are requesting for help after a dog, shot two times, was discovered dead in a Coleman Township ditch.
Coleman Township lies northeast of Latchford and southwest of Temiskaming Shores, near the Highway 11B turn-off to Cobalt.
Temiskaming OPP got the call about the big dog that had actually been discovered on Cemetery Road on April 10.
Police state the dog had actually been shot two times and was left in the ditch on the roadway at some point prior to April 8. The dog is a medium to large-size black pitbull cross that weighed about 60-70 pounds.
“The culprit(s) is unidentified and the examination is continuing. Police are looking for the general public’s support to help recognize the criminal(s) associated with this occurrence,” said OPP in a press release.
