A relative posted on social media that she was walking alongside the bridleway with Lenny, her cocker spaniel.

She is at present in Darlington Memorial Hospital with a variety of accidents: damaged ribs on each side, misplaced tooth, a five-inch gash on her head and damaged bones in her foot and hand.

Lenny, who was on his lead through the incident, sadly did not make it after struggling “extreme accidents”.

Her sister’s associate, Dennis Ineson, posted on Facebook: “I’d similar to to sincerely thank the various sort individuals who helped my associate’s sister in the present day close to Reeth.

“She was walking on the bridleway by the Swale when trampled by a number of cows.

“She is at present in Darlington Memorial Hospital with damaged ribs on each side, damaged bones in foot and hand and misplaced tooth and an inch gash on her head however will survive.

“Sadly Lenny the cocker spaniel on his lead when the attack occurred and launched because the cows attacked has not made it and handed away this afternoon on account of his accidents.”

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Amulance Service Trust mentioned: “We obtained an emergency name at 10.10am on Friday morning to report a feminine who had been injured by cattle in Reeth. 

“An ambulance and air ambulance have been dispatched to the scene and the affected person was conveyed by street to Darlington Memorial Hospital.”
