If you’re in the marketplace for a brand-new furry friend, the Norfolk Animal Care & Adoption Center is overflowing with dogs available for adoption.
Those who adopt prior to July 9 won’t need to pay the basic $75 adoption cost, that includes expenses to spay/neuter, offer vaccinations and microchipping. A representative for the city said their dog kennels are at “critical capacity” and urgently require adoptions.
Some of the available dogs consist of Mango, a pit bull terrier who’s been at the shelter because May 26; En Pointe, a tan fighter mix who’s been at the shelter because May 31; Sea Bass, a black and white Labrador retriever mix who’s been at the shelter because April 14; and Coretta, a brown pit bull terrier who’s been at the shelter because March 15.
There were 56 adoptable dogs available since Tuesday afternoon, according to the center’s adoption website. Those who wish to help however can’t presently adopt can foster dogs totally free, with all products offered by the center.
