A 52-year-old Jersey Shore man fatally shot his ex-wife and her dog after she called 911 to report a burglary — and after that turned the weapon on himself, according to authorities.

“Responding Officers made forced entry into the apartment, where they located the deceased body of Ms. Hoffman with an apparent gunshot wound to the face,” he said in a declaration.
The officers then situated the bullet-riddled body of her dog, along with that of her ex-husband, Carl Schulz Jr., 52, who was still mindful, Billhimer said.
The shooter, likewise of Little Egg Harbor, was transferred to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he later on passed away, the district attorney said.
“The investigation revealed that Schulz shot Ms. Hoffman, and the dog, before turning the gun on himself,” he included.
It was not instantly clear if the killer was the daddy of Hoffman’s 2 children, whose ages were not revealed.
Hoffman was the director of admissions at Seacrest Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a nursing home in Little Egg Harbor, nj1015.com reported.
