A Seminole County girl was left battered and bruised, and her canine killed, after her automobile plummeted a number of ft by means of a washed-out street.

Lindsey Pruitt’s automobile was swallowed up early Tuesday morning after the gravel street was compromised in Monday evening’s torrential downpour. Tons of gravel and a bigger tin horn had been introduced in to restore the street.
Lindsey Pruitt rode out Monday’s storms in her mom’s shelter. “When David Payne predicts bad weather, you listen up,” stated Seminole County resident Lindsey Pruitt.
After the storms handed, she started driving again to her trailer when catastrophe struck. “Next thing I know I woke up to my mom screaming my name over the speaker,” stated Pruitt.
Her automobile disappeared ten ft under the place the street as soon as stood. “I heard the water rushing. There was water inside my car at that time,” stated Pruitt.
Lindsey checked on her dogs Banjo and Joleen. “I see Joleen all over the backseat and I knew something was wrong. I checked for her pulse,” stated Pruitt.
Her beloved Rottweiler Lab was gone. “She was my protector. She was his best friend,” stated Pruitt.
Lindsey climbed out of her crumpled automobile.
She used her telephone’s flashlight to flag down emergency responders. “Standing straight up on my car, I put my arm all the way up so they can see me,” stated Pruitt.
Seminole District 2 County commissioner Tim Porter stated two different roads washed out the identical night–after tin horns stuffed with particles prevented water from shifting by means of, “You take on weather event it floods the ditches like that,” stated Porter.
But Lindsey and different county residents like Jerry Reed imagine street upkeep is responsible. “It didn’t just happen overnight. I’ve lived here for 45 years and I cannot get my road bar ditches maintained,” stated Seminole County District 2 Commissioner Tim Porter.
Porter says the county is conscious of the repairs wanted. “We don’t have enough in our budget to do what we need to do,” stated Porter,
“He may only have so much money to work with and that’s all he can do, but it sure needs to be fixed. I know that, ” stated Reed.
Lindsey’s automobile was totaled within the incident. County officers inform News 9 that Lindsey will seemingly should file a tort declare to be reimbursed for damages.
