A brand-new dog program is to be kept in south Bristol to bring the neighborhood together “over the love of dogs”.

The Knowle West Dog Show will occur for the very first time later on in 2023, being held outdoors at Knowle West Health Park on Downton Road.

Organised by Emma Smallwood, the neighborhood adapter at Knowle West Health Park, she hopes the occasion on September 19 will be an enjoyable day for the neighborhood to come along and display their dogs.

Emma, a dog owner herself, has actually already hired a regional dog groomer to be among the judges for the program, and she is intending to get a regional star to be another. She is likewise trying to find regional businesses to sponsor the occasion.

“We’re not taking it super seriously, so the categories will be things like ‘waggiest tale’ and ‘cheekiest face’,” she included.

“I don’t desire it to be an ultra competitive thing, it’s more about having a good time and commemorating how charming dogs are.

“It’ll be a way of meeting people they’ve not before, making friends over the love of dogs.”
