Naughty Dog’s games are a marvel, don’t you agree? Originally known as Jam Software, its first game under the Naughty Dog name was Rings of Power (not that one) for the Sega Mega Drive. It was awful. The game was such a disaster that the developer went bankrupt, it lost the support of publisher Electronic Arts, and somehow convinced Mark Cerny to offer the team a three game deal with Universal Interactive Studios. Bet you weren’t expecting that. One final flop arrived in Way of the Warriorand then Naughty Dog got into its groove when it created Crash Bandicoot. The rest, as they say, was history.

Check out the trailer for the upcoming The Last of Us show, starring Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey and Nick Offerman, here!

Whatever Naughty Dog has in store, we won’t be waiting too long for it following its initial reveal. “You’re right, we did announce Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part II way in advance,” replied Druckmann in an interview with Comic Book when queried over the developer’s lengthy schedules. “But that actually caused a little bit of the work-life balance issues that we’ve sometimes had at the studio. By delaying that announcement a bit, we could play with the schedule more and we’re more conscious now about how we’re approaching production. So there’s our [The Last of Us] multiplayer project and there’s another project that I will not say anything about that’s beyond that that we’re also very much excited for.”
