RENTON, Wash. —

An indication posted at King County’s Petrovitsky Park says “Caution: Canine Parvovirus.” It was placed on a bulletin board after dogs who’d lately been there have been contaminated by the virus.

Known as “Parvo,” this can be very contagious, and it could rapidly kill an contaminated canine who has not been beforehand handled or doesn’t obtain immediate medical care.
