This St. Patrick’s Day, the festivities aren’t only for people.
The vacation celebrations continued Sunday at Helpless Hounds St. Patrick’s Day Puppy Party, a celebration President Amity Edwards says is centered round hound breeds.
“We take in hounds with the long floppy ears like bluetick coonhounds, all the coonhounds, bassets, beagles and bloodhounds,” she stated.
Nearly two dozen puppies from three separate litters are hoping to seek out the proper match.
“They’re ready to go to their forever homes, we just continue to work with the adopters until they’re fully vaccinated,” stated Edwards.
Edwards says she is aware of these puppies can be a fortunate appeal for the suitable household.
“We play match-maker a little bit but you can spend time with multiple puppies while you’re here today and see if one really connects with your family,” she said.
10-year-old Conner Geddings is on a mission. He’s hoping to convince his parents to get a new puppy.
Although his family already has three dogs, he says the puppies are too adorable to resist.
“Because they’re really cute, and this one here’s biting my finger, but all of them here are really cute,” stated Geddings.
And whether or not the puppies received adopted right this moment or simply received some love, this animal rescue is making a secure house for them – full of love, luck and countless tail wags.
