A small puppy called Valuable has actually been branded an unsafe dog after nipping a police officer’s leg.
Now the two-year-old chihuahua-cockapoo cross should be muzzled outside or deals with being ruined.
However owner Mary Folden firmly insisted: “You just need to take a look at her to understand she’s entirely safe. She’s such a softy.”
Valuable was implicated of biting a female PC at Mary’s house in Workington, Cumbria, when she got here to interview her adult boy as a witness in an examination.
Mary, 48, stated: “I asked her to wait while I got my boy.
” I cautioned her not to enter into the living-room due to the fact that Valuable and her bros and sibling remained in there and they can get excitable. She entered regardless, and got a nip. There were some little swellings on her leg. I apologised and believed that would be completion of it.”
She was stunned when polices informed her she was being prosecuted under the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act.
Magistrates fined her ₤ 120 and bought her to pay ₤ 250 settlement to the police officer.
Last night Cumbria Cops stated: “Concerning the Act, the size of the dog does not matter, it’s if a dog isn’t under control. The officer got several leak injuries needing health center treatment.”
