One pastry-loving dog is such a huge fan of the British pastry shop chain that she stages a demonstration whenever her owner passes one.
Cara Ovens, who resides in Edinburgh, Scotland, declares her golden retriever Lucie will require sausage rolls by taking a seat and dig her pawns into the pavement whenever they pass by one.
The 33-year-old very first understood her five-year-old pooch was a fan of Greggs when the odor of the pastry shop would tempt her to their doors throughout strolls.
Lucie can even find the renowned blue, white and yellow shops from throughout the street, and Cara is frequently required to lure the unwilling pooch with biscuits as she drags her away.
Production Assistant Cara said: “She’s extremely relentless. She’s rather strong. My magic word is biscuits. It’s not as good as Greggs, however she does react. They’re a close 2nd and she can’t be having Greggs every day.
The dog owner handled to capture her furry friend in the act in an amusing clip, where Lucie can be seen digging her claws in as she gazes longingly at the pastry shop chain.
Cara explained that she didn’t even understand the Greggs existed up until Lucie took a seat and was “attempting to inform me something”.
She included: “Everyone’s discussing the video asking why I didn’t get her a Greggs. I can’t leave her outside a shop so she didn’t get Greggs that day.
“I believe she smells the pastry which’s what tempts her in. It’s everything about the smells.”
Lucie does get to delight in a pastry or sausage roll every number of weeks as a reward, however if it depended on the pooch she would be having everything the time.
Cara included: “Lucie enjoys Greggs. She’s potentially Greggs’ leading dog fan.
“Whenever we’re on a walk with my partner we’ll enter and get something.
“She enjoys the odor and gets a little reward every number of weeks – whether it be a little bit of pastry or sausage. I’m an accountable dog owner and I’m not shovelling Greggs down her throat.
“Quite frequently I do not understand [the Greggs is] there up until she takes a seat and does that thing where she declines to move.
“She can be a queen and she does demonstration for other factors too. She does not stop outside any other shop.”
