The Best Friends 4-H Club in cooperation with Mutterly Love will be providing canine classes beginning on March 6, 2023, around Junior Showmanship and Nose Work likewise referred to as Scent Work. Classes are open to youth ages 5 – 19 years since January 1, 2023, along with 4-H Leaders. Cost for each class is $50.00 for non-4-H members and complimentary to 4-H’ers along with 4-H Leaders. Class information consist of:

4-H Junior Showmanship Dog Classes will operate on Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 6, 2023, and ending on March 27, 2023. Classes are held at Mutterly Love, 200 Kerth Street, St. Joseph, MI.  Junior Showmanship individuals will discover requirements for types, correct program ring outfit, equipment/tools, breed history, correct gait, table discussion, flooring discussion and evaluating treatments.

4-H Nose Work Classes are scheduled to be hung on Mondays from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mutterly Love, 200 Kerth Street, St. Joseph, MI, beginning on Monday, March 6, 2023 and ending on March 27, 2023. Participants will learn how to teach a dog to look for, search and discover a designated aroma (scent) that has actually been concealed. Also, individuals will acquire a much deeper understanding on how to get ready for the brand-new dog occasion of Scent work throughout exhibit.

Class individuals are asked to bring with their dog (cleaned up & groomed), leash that is at least 4 to 6 feet in length, collar/harness, poop bags, paper towel, dog deals with, fanny pack or deal with bag, along with water or water bowl.
