The Mundelein Police Department stated they’ve added a brand new consolation remedy canine to their division because of a donation from a residents police academy affiliation.
The Golden Retriever puppy, named Millie, will likely be partnered with Mundelein Police Department social employee Stephanie Escobar.
The canine was made potential by a donation from the Mundelein Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.
Escobar chosen the feminine canine from a litter of puppies at TOPS Kennel in Grayslake.
Millie lately underwent a consolation and remedy canine obedience coaching program at TOPS Kennel, based on village officers.
The canine will help with public relations actions and neighborhood engagement.
Millie may also assist with victims’ advocacy, psychological well being and trauma response.
She will function a useful resource to first responders who could also be coping with stress and the influence of experiences on the job, the village stated.
Millie will likely be dealt with and cared for by Escobar and stay along with her household.
