JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Multiple animals are recovering after police carried out a search warrant on a puppy mill.
The Jonesboro Police Department obtained a puppy mill criticism on the 200 block of Baker Street.
Police obtained a search warrant and Jonesboro Police Chief Rick Elliott stated they discovered “several dogs in crates inside the residence.”
Elliott added that each one they’ve seen to this point are dogs.
Due to the “overwhelming urine smell” in the home, Elliott summoned the fireplace division to carry followers and respiratory apparatuses to help the investigators.
Police say the proprietor has been arrested and faces costs of animal cruelty.
Elliott stated the animals plan to be checked out by the native veterinarian after which delivered to animal management.
