TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — The Mid-Continent Kennel Club of Tulsa held its yearly AKC licensed all-breed dog show in Tulsa on Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, at the Tulsa Expo SageNet Center.
In the dog program, numerous dogs completed for Best In Show, High In Trial, and Dock Diving awards.
“We are delighted to welcome spectators back to Mid-Continent Kennel Club of Tulsa’s annual dog show and trials.” said Marc Crews, MCKC Board Member. “Not only is this a fun activity for families but it is the perfect place to talk to breed experts about topics such as training, grooming and the right breed for your lifestyle. An AKC dog show is also a great place to start your search for a responsible breeder.”
For the very first time in the club’s history, a Foundation Service Stock Open Show, a program for dogs working towards AKC breed acknowledgment, was held throughout the program on Saturday.
An obedience enjoyable match, approved B Match, and raffle were included this year to raise awareness and funds to support Meals on Wheels of Metro Tulsa’s PAWS program. Additionally, a Kid Zone concentrated on enjoyable dog-related activities promoting accountable dog ownership.
Admission was totally free for people and dogs alike, with audience dogs having the ability to take part in the Dock Diving competitors too.
