TAYLOR, Mich. — A Michigan metropolis integrating its first RADDOG 2LE robotic canine, a news release states.
The Taylor Police Department introduced Feb. 8 it might be including the robotic system to its ranks, in accordance with a launch from Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD). The RADDOG 2LE is provided with superior mobility, surveillance instruments and patrolling capabilities.
“This tool can be used as an additional resource for multiple emergency situations that can help law enforcement,” the police division stated on Facebook. “The robot can be deployed to assist in incidents where our officers and citizens can be in immediate danger and potentially provide a safer solution and reduce the risk in dangerous circumstances.”
The Taylor Police Department would be the first municipal police division to undertake the RADDOG, in accordance with the corporate.
