BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (CBS) — The Buffolo Grove Police Department is welcoming its latest member, a remedy canine.
Four-year-old Grady is an American Labradoodle and is ready to deliver consolation and assist to the group.
The division hopes Grady will bridge the hole between the police drive and the folks they serve.
Grady is personally owned by his handler, the Buffalo Grove Deputy Chief Brian Spolar, and was educated and authorized as a remedy canine earlier than becoming a member of the division.
Grady and Spolar are graduates of the SOUL Harbour Ranch Animal Therapy Training Program and presently function a volunteer canine workforce for the nonprofit, officers say. They are additionally a registered remedy canine workforce via Pet Partners.
