CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A person pleaded responsible to 32 counts of costs on Monday for his involvement in a 2021 Charlotte dogfighting case, in keeping with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control.
Earl Hamilton, 43, was charged with the next:
- Five counts of Felony Dog Fighting
- 12 counts of Felony Animal Cruelty
- 12 counts of Misdemeanor Animal Cruelty
- Three counts of Misdemeanor Cruel Restrain
Officials say police responded to a name for service relating to life-threatening animal cruelty on Oct. 24, 2021, alongside Leopold Place off Buckleigh Drive.
Officers decided there was justification to acquire a search warrant and labored for hours to grab 29 dogs in whole related to the case.
