FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — An Ohio man implicated of assaulting a relative with an ax was dropped in the victim’s dog, authorities said.

Derek J. Honacher was jailed on Friday and charged with tried murder, WKYC-TV reported.
According to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a call at about 4:50 a.m. EDT from a citizen in Wayne Township. The individual informed deputies that a relative, later on determined as Honacher, had actually attacked him with an ax.
The victim informed deputies that Honacher apparently entered his room and struck him a number of times with an ax, WBNS-TV reported. The 2 guys had a hard time prior to the victim’s dog bit Honacher numerous times, which ended the attack, according to the constable’s workplace.
Honacher was jailed and required to a health center in Columbus for treatment of injuries caused by the dog, the Scioto Valley Guardian reported.
