BROOK PARK, Ohio – An unidentified man dropped off a bag of seven new child puppies Aug. 26 on the gross sales counter of Rite Aid, 15149 Snow Road
The Rite Aid shift supervisor referred to as police at about 9 p.m. She mentioned the person, about 70 to 80-years-old, was carrying the puppies in a reusable purchasing bag.
The man mentioned he had discovered the bag of puppies behind his pickup truck. He then left the shop.
Police took the puppies to MedVet Cleveland, 20400 Emerald Parkway, and requested staff there if they may take care of the puppies. The staff mentioned no.
However, MedVet staff, after making a number of cellphone calls, contacted an Elyria lady who agreed to foster the puppies.
Police drove the puppies to the girl’s home in Elyria, ensuring to positively establish her. She was the founding father of Crystal’s Clefts, a nonprofit dog-rescue organization. Police left the puppies in her care.
