COLBERT CO., Ala. (WAFF) – A Tuscumbia man was arrested on Thursday night after he was allegedly seen on video abusing a canine.
According to Colbert County Sheriff Eric Balentine, there’s a video of Garret Larkin allegedly beating a canine with a leather-based strap. He additionally says that in that very same video, the 23-year-old could be seen hanging the canine on a tree to proceed to beat it.
Officials with Colbert County Animal Control say deputies responded after Larkin’s neighbors known as saying he was beating a canine.
They say the canine remains to be alive and is now within the custody of Larkin’s girlfriend.
Larkin was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals. He was booked into the Colbert County Jail the place he’s being held on a $750 bond.
