A person has been charged after a 13-year-old boy was bitten by a canine in Fife.
Police had been referred to as to South Avenue in St Andrews round 6.55pm on October 31 after receiving stories of a youngster being bitten by a canine.
Emergency companies took the 13-year-old to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
His present situation is unknown.
On Wednesday, police confirmed a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in reference to the incident.
It’s understood the canine in query has been put down.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “Round 6.55pm on October 31, police acquired a report a youngster had been bitten by a canine on South Avenue, St Andrews.
“Emergency companies attended, and a 13-year-old boy was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
“A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in reference to the incident.
“A report can be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
