PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A person broke right into a Port Orange home and took the home-owner’s pet canine after claiming he was in search of his stolen canine, police say.
The Port Orange Police Department mentioned Jenung Marenah, 32, broke right into a home early Monday within the 700 block of E. Hensel Hill Road after listening to a barking canine and walked into the home by way of the yard.
“Homeowners at this location reported awakening to an unknown male breaking into their residence and abducting their pet dog (a yellow Lab). The homeowners advised the male claimed he had walked from South Daytona looking for his stolen dog (a black pit bull),” the division wrote on Facebook.
When police responded, officers noticed Marenah walking close to the home. When requested for his title, police mentioned Marenah gave one other title and officers realized he had an open warrant out of Volusia County for reckless driving.
He was arrested and faces prices of housebreaking of an occupied dwelling and offering a false title to legislation enforcement.
