A person and his canine needed to be rescued by emegrency providers after falling 15 toes down a ravine in North Yorkshire.
The incident, which occurred in Pickering, was reported to North Yorkshire Fireplace & Rescue Service at 4:49pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday, November 5).
Crews, together with one outfitted with animal rescue gear, had been despatched to the placement to assist rescue each the person and the canine.
On arrival the person had managed to return to the trail, the crews imagine he had left the trail initially to rescue the canine, and we had been grateful he was secure and properly.
The canine nonetheless wanted to be rescued although, at that time, identified to be really 50 toes down the ravine, not the 15 they initially thought.
An evaluation of the scene was carried out and it was deemed crews would require the assistance of their colleagues at Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Workforce.
