Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai whom Trinamool Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra termed as a ‘jilted ex’ has now claimed that canine Henry was being intentionally locked up inside Mahua Moitra’s residence “to discourage CBI from coming into”. “Henry is a big Rottweiler, and though mild, however he does possess a powerful protecting intuition. I’m now really fearful for HIS security,” Jai Anant Dehadrai who alleged that Mahua Moitra took bribe for asking questions in opposition to Adani in Parliament claimed. As the cash-for-question, which Mahua Moitra denied, became a significant political controversy, the advocate accused Mahua Moitra of kidnapping Henry, their canine.
Both Mahua Moitra and Jai Anant Dehadrai introduced contradictory variations of what occurred over the custody of their pet canine after their break up. Mahua Moitra reportedly filed a number of police complaints in opposition to Dehadrai for alleged prison trespass, theft, vulgar messages and abuse. Moitra mentioned Dehadrai stole her canine Henry. Later the canine was returned.
Jai Anant Dehadrai claimed he bought Henry in January 2021 and has been taking good care of him since he was 40 days old. “Mr Moitra has intentionally kidnapped and hidden Henry away from me since 10.10.2023 with the intent to harass and blackmail me in response to the CBI criticism dated 14.10.2023, which I’ve filed in opposition to her,’ Jai wrote in his criticism addressed to Delhi Police commissioner. The advocate additionally claimed Mahua Moitra’s lawyer approached him “to coerce him into withdrawing CBI criticism in trade for Henry” — which he claimed he flatly refused.
