Sage is a 9-year-old pit bull. His owner, Jorge Gonzalez of Lufkin, stated Sage has actually dealt with him because he was a puppy.
On Friday, Gonzalez hurried to the Angelina Animal Medical Facility after Sage was assaulted with a machete.

After investigators talked to Gonzalez, witnesses, and the suspect, an arrest warrant was released.
According to the report, 62-year-old Jesus Aguilar of Lufkin got out of his vehicle with a machete in his hand and started walking towards the home when the dog then began barking at Aguilar. The report specifies Aguilar began striking the dog with the machete consistently. Aguilar was jailed 3 days later on charged with dedicating ruthlessness to a non-livestock animal.
